If you are looking to build a home theater, it is best to start modest. Most people will be satisfied with a 5.1 home theater setup, and for those of you who are not looking to spend too much money, the Denon AVR-1713 is a good option for your home theater receiver.

This Denon receiver offers all of the amazing sound that Denon is known for, and all the features that you would want on a home theater receiver, but it comes at a much lower cost than some of the receivers on the market that are in the $500, $600, or even $700 range. this receiver doesn't have as many HDMI inputs as more expensive models, and it doesn't have as many channels as more expensive models, but it has enough to satisfy most buyers.

The AVR-1713 is very powerful, outputting 80 watts per channel, it should be able to power almost any home theater speakers without issue. The interface is simple to use, it takes one push of a button to change inputs. Overall the AVR-!713 is a good receiver for those of you looking for an affordable home theater or stereo receiver.
